Summary:The seat-backrest unit has an articulated support for the backrest in the region of the lumbar pad (54), which support includes two articulation shafts (61; 62) located one above the other at the articulation distance (65). The lower articulation shaft (61) is substantially fixedly connected to the seat shell (36). By means of an articulation link, the upper articulation shaft (62) can be pivoted about the lower articulation shaft (61) from the front position (62.1) to the rear position (62.2) against spring force. In this position, the upper part of the backrest has pivoted into the leaning-back position (32.1). In this process, the contact point (56.1) of the backrest tangent (50) has moved to a position (56.2) displaced somewhat further back and downwards, with the result that the seat/backrest opening angle has changed slightly from the amount (55.1) to the value (55.2) without the lumbar-pad (54) elevation lying furthest forwards having moved further forwards.
