Summary:A known drying-process time control counts the cooling times or heating cut-out times by means of an electrical clock. In this case, however, factors leading to different drying results are not taken into account. The new time control is driven solely by the heating cut-in times and provides reproducible drying results. After the drying time has been set, a bipolar cut-in switch (1) of an electromechanical time switch driven by a synchronous motor (2) is closed, and voltages applied to the heating (4) as well as to the synchronous motor (2) connected in parallel thereto. The contact (3') of the thermostat (3) is in series with the parallel connection (4), (2) and, after its switch point has been reached, cuts out the heating (4) together with the synchronous motor (2), so that the set drying time cannot run any further. The drying time continues to run only after the heating (4) has been cut in again by the contact (3'). The new time control and time-control device are suitable for laundry driers, combination washer driers and drying appliances of a general kind.
