Summary:Isocyanatoacylurethanes which, in addition to at least one isocyanate group, contain a grouping of the formula -CO-NH-CO-O- are prepared by reacting isocyanatocarbonyl chlorides with N-unsubstituted carbamic esters while maintaining an equivalent ratio of acid chloride groups to carbamic ester groups of 0.9:1 to 1.1:1 within a temperature range of 20 to 140 DEG C and are used for the preparation of heat-crosslinkable plastics or plastics precursors or for the preparation of crosslinking agents for plastics.
