Summary: | Spiral conveyors of known designs comprise a centrally arranged spiral tube having spiral paths running helically on the outside or inside in an ascending manner, are as a rule mounted using rubber pads and have a vibrating drive. They transport preferably sensitive bulk materials upwards according to the micro-throw principle. It is customary to weld together a spiral tube and spiral paths made of steel. This is, however, a great disadvantage in terms of manufacture since, as a result of the gradient of the spiral paths, very high welding stresses occur in the welds which often do not withstand the oscillating continuous loading. The intended installation of the spiral paths (2) in an oscillating supporting frame (1) by means of clamping apparatuses (5) makes the welding together of such constructions unnecessary. Furthermore, as a result of the vertical displaceability of the clamping apparatuses (5), a gradient of the spiral paths (2) in the supporting frame (1) can be altered at any time. Of particular significance is the possibility of replacing spiral paths (2) easily and quickly when required. |
