Summary:Permanent biologically active implants, characterised in that they consist of a biologically active vitreous ceramic matter which can be wrought mechanically and which has the following weight composition, in %: SiO2 29.5 to 32.5, Al2O3 14.5 to 17.5, MgO 14.5 to 16.5, Na2O 2.0 to 3.0, K2O 5.5 to 6.5, F<-> 5.0 to 6.0, CaO 13.0 to 15.0, P2O5 10.0 to 12.0 and of separate crystalline phases consisting of 50 to 80 % by volume of mica and of 15 to 20 % by volume of apatite.
