Unwanted FID signals which are generated in dependence on 180@ RF pulses are shifted to the outer edges of the visual display image which is generated in dependence on the use of 90@ and 180@ RF pulses by phase shifting at least one of the RF pulses in alternating cycles during the data acquisition.
