Summary: | A process and an apparatus serve to stiffen superstructures of motor vehicles, in particular for the subsequent conversion of a limousine into a cabriolet. In this arrangement, a floor assembly of the superstructure is reinforced by additionally installed elements. In order to simplify the reinforcement of the floor assembly and to eliminate problems of corrosion, trough-shaped insert bodies (10; 70) consisting of fibre-reinforced plastic are installed in a positively locking manner into a floor area of a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle and are adhesively bonded there, over their surface areas, to a floor panel and lateral walls of the superstructure. |
