Summary: | In a plant for catalytic cracking of gaseous hydrocarbons, in particular by steam, to give a product gas (PD) having a heated primary reformer (PR) having a multiplicity of cracking tubes (2) and assigned collectors (3, 4) and a primary catalyst (PK), having a secondary reformer (SR) connected downstream of the primary reformer, into which at least some of the gas leaving the primary reformer is burnt with supply of oxygen and then passed together with the remainder of the gas via a secondary catalyst bed (SK), and having a device connected downstream of the secondary reformer for utilising the waste heat present in the product gas, to simplify the plant and improve the heat economy, it is provided that the primary reformer (PR) and the secondary reformer (SR) are arranged in a single pressure vessel (19) and that the product gas (PD) leaving the secondary reformer (SR) can be fed to the primary reformer (PR) for convective heating of the primary reformer. |
