New reactive dyestuff cpds. for dyeing e.g. cotton, wool - with vinyl or substd. ethyl sulphonyl benzyl or phenyl-ethyl amino heterocyclyl substit
New vinyl- or beta-substd.-ethyl-sulphonylbenzyl- or phenethyl-amino-N-heterocyclyl dyestuff cpds are of the formula F - (A - Q)n (I); (where Q = a gp of formula (II): F = a dyestuff radical; m and n = 1 or 2; A = a linking gp or direct bond; W = a reactive gp of the halo-N-heterocyclic series; R1 =...

Summary: | New vinyl- or beta-substd.-ethyl-sulphonylbenzyl- or phenethyl-amino-N-heterocyclyl dyestuff cpds are of the formula F - (A - Q)n (I); (where Q = a gp of formula (II): F = a dyestuff radical; m and n = 1 or 2; A = a linking gp or direct bond; W = a reactive gp of the halo-N-heterocyclic series; R1 = H or 1-4C alkyl; R2 = H or Me; X = H, O-alkyl, O-aryl, NH-alkyl, NH-aryl, halogen, NO2, -SO2-alkyl, -SO2-aryl, -COOH, -CONH-alkyl, -CONH-aryl, -COO-alkyl or -COO-aryl; Y = H, halogen or 1-4C alkyl; Z = -CH=CH2 or -CH2-CH2-Z1; Z1 = OSO3H, SSO3H, OPO3H2, OCOCH3, OCOH or carboxypyridinium: Cpds with m = 1, -SO2-Z in the para-position to the -CHIR2)- gp. and X and/or Y = H, 1-4C alkyl, halogen or 1-4C alkoxy are excluded.). USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are claimed for dyeing fibrous material contg. OH and carbonamido gps. The Q gp gives optimum substantivity. (I) are useful for dyeing wool and esp cotton, pref. by the exhaustion method at 40-90 deg C and the cold dwell process. Applicn in a wide temp range is possible and (I) give high yields and a high deg of fixing. |
