Summary:Process for producing papers or paper-like materials having high porosity, opacity and volumes is characterised in that basic amides of long-chain fatty acids, melting below 30 DEG C, or fatty acid mixtures and amine mixtures containing A) 0-6% by weight of amines having 1-3 N atoms, B) 30-50% by weight of amines having 4 N atoms, C) 20-40% by weight of amines having 5 N atoms, and D) 20-40% by weight of amines having 6 and more N atoms, the total of components A)-D) being 100% by weight, are added to the paper stock.
