Summary: | For the energy-saving drying of moist bulk materials, such as for example crude lignite, of high initial moisture to low residual moisture with minimal pollution, according to the invention a drying process is proposed in which the moist material is initially separated into fine material and coarse material and the fine material is dried in an entrained-bed dryer and the coarse material is dried in a fluidised-bed dryer, a particular feature of the invention providing that the vapours produced during the drying are compressed, circulated and the vapour condensation heat of the vapour-containing exhaust-gas flows is introduced into the fluidised bed of the fluidised-bed dryer. |
