Summary:The invention relates to a method for measuring ferromagnetic properties of plated or non-plated coins. The subject of the invention is characterised in that the course of the magnetic layer of the coin is recorded at particular points by a measuring device and signals proportional to the ferromagnetic properties of the coin are generated correspondingly in the measuring device, and in that the coin is recognised to be good or bad by means of an evaluation unit located after the measuring device.
