Summary: | A lining carrier plate (20) carries a brake lining (24) and, on its rear side, which faces away from the brake lining, has a contact surface (22). The contact surface (22) is offset radially inwards relative to the radially outer rim of the brake lining (24) and, for the transmission of a brake-actuating force exerted via a calliper (10) by an actuating piston, is supported against one limb (12) of the calliper (10). The contact surface (22) furthermore has a radially outer boundary line (26), which maintains an at least approximately constant distance (R) from the axis (28) of the brake disk (18), R = R eff + () and Reff being the distance at the centre line of the actuating piston of diameter d from the axis (28) of the brake disk (18). This makes possible powerful and prolonged braking operations without the occurrence of a drop in power due to partial overloading of the brake lining. |
