Summary:New 4-aminotetrahydrobenz [c,d] indoles and tetrahydroazepino [3,4,5-c,d] indoles having the general formula (I), and their salts, in which A-B represent the (II) residues, when R2 and R3 do not represent hydrogen or (III), with R representing hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl; R1 is fluor, chlorine or bromine, R2 is hydrogen, bromine, iodine, hydroxy, carbamoyl, methylthio, methyl, hydroxymethyl, N-methylthiocarbamoyl, amino, nitro, methylsulphonamido or (C61<-C>4<)-acylamido; R>3< is hydrogen, hydroxyl or benzyloxy and R>4< is hydrogen or (C>1<-C>7<)-alkyloxycarbonyl. A description is also given of their manufacturing process and use as medicines.
