Summary: | To seal off rotating shafts with large alignment errors and/or deflexions, both shaft passages are sealed off symmetrically to the axis of the shaft in the seal housing (9). On the one hand, the shaft is sealed off with respect to the pressure and/or product side in such a way that there is a rolling thrust bearing (7) between the shaft sleeve (5) and the adjusting ring with its spherical sealing and adjusting surface (8) and the sealing gap between the shaft sleeve (5) and the adjusting ring (8) is sealed off with spring-assisted sealing elements (6) and/or O-rings. The spherical sealing and adjusting surface of the adjusting ring (8) is fitted into the seal housing (9) and sealed off with O-rings (10) and/or spring-assisted sealing elements and/or sealing surfaces (11). The opposite shaft passage in the seal housing (9) is sealed off in the same way, symmetrically with respect to the axis of the shaft, with a shaft sleeve (4), a rolling thrust bearing (3), an adjusting ring (1) and sealing elements (2, 10, 11). |
