Summary: | The automatic functional monitoring of an accumulator battery whose cells are equipped with recombiners is carried out by means of monitoring elements, which are in each case allocated to a recombiner and, when it becomes hot, convert this into an electrical signal as a criterion for a correctly operating cell, whereby a monitoring line which combines all the monitoring elements in a series circuit and is itself decoupled in DC terms from the battery becomes conductive. Suitable monitoring elements include, inter alia, optocouplers (1) which record the heating state of the recombiner (12) as a light emission from the light-emitting diode (3) which is connected in series with a temperature-dependent resistor (4) (NTC conductor) on the recombiner, on a resistance line (7) which bridges over the cell voltages. The phototransistor (5) of the optocoupler is switched on by the light from the diode and, if all the cells are interacting uniformly, the monitoring line (6) becomes conductive. |
