Summary: | The surface-mounted optocoupler consists of two opaque carrier chips of identical construction, one of which is equipped with a light transmitter and the other one of which is equipped with the light receiver at the same place. These carrier chips are joined to one another via an opaque frame. The terminal tabs of the carrier chips protrude at different levels and in different directions from the case thus produced. The terminal tabs are bent away in such a manner that the external joints are located at one level. |
