Summary: | The invention relates to friction clutches, in particular those for motor vehicles, having a clutch carrier plate which can be fixed to the crankshaft of an engine, an axially movable pressure plate, a diaphragm spring which is provided between the latter and the clutch carrier plate, is supported by radially outer areas against the clutch carrier plate and acts on the pressure plate by means of areas which are radially further in, torque transmission means being provided between the pressure plate and the clutch carrier plate, having a counterpressure plate which can be fixed axially and rotationally, via spacing means, to the clutch carrier plate, and a clutch plate to be provided between the clutch carrier plate and the counterpressure plate. The object on which the invention was based was to make such friction clutches cheaper, to make them smaller or, under given space conditions, to increase the friction diameter and hence the work capacity of the clutch and to improve its functioning and life. This is achieved according to the invention by virtue of the fact that the spacing means is designed as a sheet-metal shaped part and clips around the counterpressure plate on the side facing away from the engine. |
