Summary:In this novel toothbrush the handle piece is for the first time made of an integral, dimensionally rigid, relatively thin, skeleton-like metallic frame of a corrosion-resistant steel wire preferably having a chromium-plated, polished surface, instead of its customary, flat plastic handle with its bundle of bristles starting at its top end, in the slightly resilient top part of which whose inner dimensions resemble the outer shape and the dimensions of a normal, but separately made bristle body, such a small plastic bristle body can be inserted with a press fit into a receiving orifice formed by corresponding, dimensionally correct bending of the steel wire. This separate plastic bristle body can be exchanged, if and when required, with another new bristle body any number of times and without any problems by pressure with the fingers. Every insertion and exchange of the bristle body in its frame-like metal handle are facilitated by its very cut-off edges at the bottom side, whereas locking thereof is caused by a peripheral, semicircular recess corresponding to the radius of the rounding of the metallic frame profile approximately in the middle of the narrow sides of the bristle body. Release and removal of a used, unsightly bristle body from its frame are carried out by appropriate finger pressure on its rear surface.
