Summary: | The apparatus according to the invention optimises the conditions of the processes in the combing-out and opening zones of the open-end spinning unit and the dirt removal in dependence on the staple length of the fibre material to be processed, by the use of an adjustable segment-shaped body having a front run-on wall and a guide wall which adjoins the latter and which merges into a deflecting wall. By adjusting this body in the region between the feed device and the feed channel, it is possible, whilst at the same time reducing the cleaning effect until it is completely eliminated, to vary the distance between the nip of the feed device and the fibre-opening region. |
