Summary:The rolling mill framework contains a main roll (1), mounted in bearings (3, 4) enclosed by chocks (5, 6), and an additional roll (2), between which rolls a strip to be deformed is moved. The chocks (5, 6) and the additional roll (2) are displaceable along guides (7, 8) of the stand (9). The framework contains a device (10) for controlling the profile and the shape of the strip, which device has a traverse (11) which is provided with a groove (12) and is displaceable along the guides (7, 8) of the stand (9), a wedge (13), which is located in the groove (12) of the traverse (11) and is connected to a drive (14), two cams (20, 21), which are arranged in channels made in the walls of the groove (12) of the traverse (11) and are assigned to the wedge (13), a collet (15), which is mechanically coupled to the traverse (11), encloses the additional roll (2) and has two grooves (16, 17), as well as two inserts (18, 19) which are in each case accommodated in the grooves (16, 17) of the collet (15) and are assigned to the corresponding cam (20, 21).
