Summary:A device for the stepwise displacement and fixing of the mast foot of a rig in the longitudinal direction on a sailboard has a mast foot rail (1), a mast foot housing (5) which is fixable and displaceable along the mast foot rail, and a shaft (22) which is mounted with limited rotatability in the mast foot rail. The shaft (22) is adjustable back and forth between two positions of rotation which can be adjusted selectively and permanently, and it has two regions (29, 30) which are arranged axially one after the other, are constructed in each case opposing each other in the sense of releasing and fixing the mast foot housing and are assigned to the two positions of rotation. The mast foot housing (5) can be fixed on the mast foot rail (1) in at least two end positions assigned to the two regions of the shaft (22).
