Summary:A cooling fan, in particular for internal combustion engines of motor vehicles, has a fan wheel which is mounted on a fan shaft and can be coupled to a rotor by an electric magnet coil and an armature interacting with the latter. The armature and the fan wheel are here connected to one another in a manner fixed in terms of rotation by armature springs. To reduce the constructional outlay on the cooling fan, the armature springs are connected directly to the fan wheel.
