Summary:The invention relates to a storage shell with lid, in particular for holding first aid material, which shell is arranged countersunk in a recess in a panelling in motor vehicles, in particular in the parcel shelf between the rear seats and the rear window of motor vehicles, the lid of said shell being located at least essentially in the plane of the panelling and consisting of a component of the panelling which is indented in a U-shape, the edge of said panelling being enclosed by a push-on, U-shaped bar and the side of the lid which is still connected to the panelling being cross-sectionally weakened by a groove-like impression which acts as a film hinge.
