Process for producing electrodes

A description is given of a process for producing electrodes, in particular carbon electrodes, from electrode coke and electrode pitch as binder. The residue which remains after a solvent extraction of the pyrolysis oil produced in the thermal cracking of hydrocarbons is used as a cheap binder.
