Summary: | The roller has one or more roller bodies (4) which come into contact with the strand surface, are assembled from a plurality of parts (6,7), and are rotatably mounted on the stationary shaft by means of roller bearings (5), the roller body or bodies (4) being formed from at least three sleeves (6,7) which are arranged mutually aligned, connected together, and having the same external diameter, to be precise from two end sleeves (6) and at least one middle sleeve (7) lying between them. In order to be able to select the roller diameter to be as small as possible, so that the shafts of adjacent rollers can be moved as closely together as possible, the end sleeves (6) are formed as the outer bearing rings of the roller bearings (5) provided between the roller body (4) and the stationary shaft (1). |
