Summary: | The tension, compression or tension-compression spring according to the invention consists of a rod profile or flat profile, between whose straight axial clamping-in ends there is a region with multiple corrugations, and the corrugation is constructed such that, when the tension or compression stress is introduced, the quotients Mb(z)/[E l (z-1)] which are applied along the neutral fibres in the corrugated spring part, locally as vectors at right angles to the longitudinal section plane of the projection (where Mb(z) is the local bending moment produced by the external tension or compression forces introduced as spring longitudinal forces, and E l (z-1) is the local longitudinally-related bending stiffness about the neutral fibres in the respective cross-section) form no resultant but only a moment about the longitudinal axis between the end points of the free spring length. The spring, which has not yet become known in this form, can be clamped in entirely, or at least largely, without any moment and not only can its flexibility be adjusted over a wide range at a small production-engineering cost, but, because of the shape-specific transverse deflections of the corrugated bends under load, can be used directly for damping and cancellation. |
