Summary: | During the testing of electricity meters, it is required to open the connection (calibration tab) existing between the current and voltage paths, which is closed during operation of the meters, and to close it again after the testing. To reduce the not inconsiderable time consumed during the manual screwing-down, a device has been developed in which the electricity meters are pushed onto an inclined plane of about 45 DEG via a conveyor belt before and after the testing. The screws of the calibration tabs are opened via pneumatic screwdrivers with the aid of a programmed controller. During this process, the calibration tabs, which are constructed as folding or sliding tabs, are shifted by vibrating the meter. |
