Framework for holding and pressing windings into transformers

In transformers, the windings (15) and iron cores are pressed from core limbs (14) and yokes (12, 13) which connect them to one another. This is normally carried out using pressing irons (2, 3) resting on the yokes (12, 13) and tensile pressure plates (1) which rest on the core limbs (14), screwed b...

Summary:In transformers, the windings (15) and iron cores are pressed from core limbs (14) and yokes (12, 13) which connect them to one another. This is normally carried out using pressing irons (2, 3) resting on the yokes (12, 13) and tensile pressure plates (1) which rest on the core limbs (14), screwed bolts (5) which are inserted into the upper ends of said tensile pressure plates introducing the axial pressure forces into the pressing irons (2, 3) via nuts (6) which are supported by said screwed bolts. According to the invention, additionally to and independently of the pressing irons (2), a transversal, parallel to the upper yoke (12), can be screwed via screw sleeves (8) supported by it itself to the screwed bolts (5) which are inserted into the upper ends of the tensile pressure plate (1), the transversal being connected to the screwed bolts (5) only for transportation processes during assembly, and the screwed bolts (5) and the screw sleeves (8) being loaded exclusively in their axial direction. The design of a transformer framework according to the invention can be used especially in the case of large transformers, parts which have to be welded to the framework specifically for transportation during assembly being omitted and there being no requirement whatsoever for space for such parts on the complete transformer.
