Summary: | The invention relates to a sealing bush which makes it possible to protect electricity meters or other measuring appliances or auxiliary devices against unauthorised intervention, better than with the lead seals which are now customary. In order to avoid certain disadvantages of the lead seals, a bush (see figure) is proposed, which is pushed under the securing screw for the lid of the appliance to be sealed. The bush is shaped so that the lead-sealing screw which is used, and by means of which the appliances are sealed, need not be unscrewed, and removal of the bush is no longer possible after this screw has been tightened. The bush can be used with virtually all structural shapes of meter which are currently in use, and guarantees security against twisting. It is closed either by means of a suitable compound, which is sealed with an embossing stamp, or by the adhesive insertion of an embossed sealing tablet of paper or plastic, or by means of a suitable plastic moulding which can only be subsequently removed by destroying it. |
