Summary:The invention relates to a bearing device for positively locking attachment, in particular screwed attachment predominantly to a vehicle luggage rack and has the purpose of permitting the secure attachment in particular of case-like containers on such luggage racks without the luggage rack itself being specially designed. In order to achieve this, two essentially congruent clamping plates - an anchor plate and a cover plate - which are provided with a series of holes for connecting screws and have a basic shape which is a rectangle with unequal sides are provided. These two plates - connected to one another securely and free of displacement by connecting screws - enclose the luggage carrier struts between them and have holders for attaching the container. The cover plate can also be arranged on the inside of the container floor plate so that the clamping plates clamp the luggage rack struts and the container floor plate between them and to one another. The series of holes in the anchor plate and cover plate provide a plurality of free pairs of holes for the connecting screws to engage through.
