Summary:1. Process for the non-destructive testing of ferromagnetic materials, preferably of cylindrical test bodies, such as pipes or bars, in which the test body is surrounded by a rotating magnet provided with two pole shoes and the magnetic field created by the magnets is used to measure the stray flux, characterised in that the magnetic field is simultaneously used for the electrodynamic excitation of an ultrasound field in the test body and the ultrasound field is measured.
