Summary: | A device for detecting knocking in internal-combustion engines is proposed which has at least one sensor which measures the ion current. A comparison device compares the ion-current signal of an ignited cylinder with the ion-current signal of a non-ignited cylinder. In this arrangement, the latter signal serves as a threshold value. This threshold value can be varied by supplying an additional voltage. If the ion-current signal of the ignited cylinder overshoots the threshold value, the comparison device emits a knocking detection signal. |
