Summary:Direction indicator for road vehicles, which has a selection switch for selecting the actuation of one of two sets of display lamps of the vehicle, which switch is connected in series with a pair of relay contacts. In order to operate the relay, an oscillator is provided which has a capacitor with a charge/discharge circuit and a switch with a control input. A comparator voltage source also contains a switch which has a control input. The device has a comparator for comparing the capacitor voltage and the comparison voltage and outputs a signal for controlling the relay when the voltages are essentially of equal sizes.
