1. Aqueous dispersions having a solids-content of 35 to 65% by weight of a graft copolymer consisting of a graft substrate of an aqueous dispersion of a copolymer based on two or more of the compounds styrene, butadiene, isoprene, (meth)acrylic acid C1 -C12 alkyl esters and (meth)acrylic acid, on to which one or more hydrophilic monomers from the series comprising fumaric acid, itaconic acid, maleic acid or (meth)acrylic acid amide, vinyl pyrrolidone and ethylene oxide are grafted, it being possible for up to 60% of the hydrophilic monomers to be replaced by one or more hydrophobic monomers.
