Summary:The transport system carries completely assembled long face support frames from a base gallery to a long face, or vice versa, with slight to steep slope. Each frame is first collected by a suspension track along the gallery, and carried to a transit device anchored in a face extension in the gallery. It is set down on a hoist bench on this device, the track is withdrawn, and the frame is lashed. Swivelling and moving the bench in a vertical transverse plane positions it in the long face mouth, where it is aligned parallel to the seam floor. It is then drawn down to its position, and the bench is moved back to its starting point. The process is reversed for movement the other way.
