Summary:A method and apparatus for randomly applying a foam composition containing a coloring agent dispersed therein onto a textile fabric is disclosed. The coloring agent is mixed into the foam in a non-homogeneous manner and randomly applied onto a fabric in a system having random application means for delivering the foam-coloring agent composition to a depositing means which is rotated and moved transverse to the direction of travel of the fabric being treated. The foam-coloring agent composition is caused to flow axially and in one embodiment over the edges of a baffle means in a random manner onto the textile fabric being treated so as to impart a random application of the coloring agent thereon.
