Summary:Compsn. comprises >=1 herbicide of the thiolcarbamate, substd. urea, substd. triazine or chloroacetanilide types, and >=1 antidote of formula (I). In (I)(X1 = O,S or N n1 and n2 = 0 or 1, X2 and X3 = OH, 1-5C alkoxy, 2-5C alkenyloxy, NH2 (opt. substd. by 1-4C alkyl) or 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-oxazolidinyl. Z = 1-4C alkylene, 2-4C alkenylene, phenylene (opt. tetra-or hexa -hydro) or endomethylene-tetrahydrophenylene. Typical (I) include oxalic, succinic and adipic diamides, di(m)ethyl phthalate or dithioamides of isophthalic and terephthalic acids. (I) effectively reduce the phytotoxic effects of a wide range of herbicides towards crop plants, specifically sunflower, maize, soya and sorghum.
