Summary:Complexes of formula (M(QCH2CON(Ar)CH (R4)CCR5)m)(A)p.kH20 (I) are new (where Ar is R2, R3-substd. o-R1-phenyl;R1 is H, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen; R2 and R3 are H, alkyl or alkoxy; R4 is H or alkyl; R5 is H, alkyl, halogen or opt. substd. phenyl; Q is 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl or pyrazol-1-yl; M is a metal, pref. Cu, Zn, Mn, Mg, Sn, Fe, Ni or Co; A is an anion; m=1,2 or 4; p=1-4; k=0-12). (I) are prepd. by reacting QCH2CON(Ar)CH(R4)CCR5 with a metal salt of formula M(A)p.nH20 (where n=0-12) in a solvent. (I) are fungicides with higher activity than known N-propargylanilides esp. against Phytophthora infestans on tomatoes and potatoes.
