Summary: | The suspension clamp comprises an insulating plastics stirrup (4) fitting over the current rail which comprises a metal profile (1) with a plastics sheathing (2) enclosing the top and both sides of the rail. A metal bolt (5) projecting from the top of the stirrup (4) is used to attach it to a cross beam (6) and the stirrup (4) has an associated fixing device. This has a fixing plate (7) also of plastics extending parallel to the current rail, one end fixed to the stirrup (4) and the other end being forked to grip the top of the current rail. The projecting forks have pins facing inwards fitting into respective openings formed in the insulating sheath (2). The fixing device is formed integrally with the stirrup (4).
