Summary: | The process is for the manufacture of double pipes, having an inner pipe carrying the medium to be cooled, or the cooling medium, an outer pipe, and an intermediate hollow space for removal of leakages. The outer wall of the inner pipe (1) is grooved. The inner pipe is then inserted into the outer pipe (2), and expanded, so that at least the tops of the raised sections are in contact with the inner wall of the outer pipe. The expansion is via a forming sphere, pressed hydraulically into the inner pipe. The inner pipes are inserted into a pre-fabricated refrigeration block, consisting of outer pipes, outer pipe plates (3), and cooling ribs (10). |
