Summary:Wash appts. for removing smells in a food factory and similar establishments is described in which the washer through which water is fed, is provided with chemisorption cassettes supported so as to be seen in the fresh water flow region. The cassettes are supported in a 'Plexiglass' (RTM) tube or container. They release a measured flow of chemicals without over-saturation. This is guaranteed against enrichment by the outflow. The appts. is esp. for use in small butcher shops and fish frying shops. The absence of dosing membranes, pumps and similar expensive equipment brings the cost of the plant within reach of the small trader.
