Summary:A blended material, which is prepd. by the addn. of 1-30 wt. % fibrous reinforcement, 0.1-5 wt. % alkali salt and 0.1-5 wt. % Al sulphate contg. substance to the principal component consisting of gypsum and slag of wt. ratio 3:7-7:3, is moulded with the addn. of water and cured in natural atmos. or 90 degrees C in humid atmos. Rapid hardening, high strength, waterproof and easily treated gypsum prod. can be prepd. economically from dihydrated gypsum and slag both of which have no self hardening property.
