Summary: | The route control system is for road vehicles and uses transmitters located at the road side and on board receivers with course evaluation processing. The road side transmitter generates a data telegram consisting of a synchronisation component, an identification component and an information block consisting of target bit groups and directional bit groups. The direction bit groups contain information relating to the route taken at crossroads and branches etc. The on board receiver (RE) passes the signals to an error bit checking stage (TF). A comparator checks the telegram code with that held in memory. If coincidence occurs the route data in the telegram is compared (VG1, VG2) with the required route to be taken. If coincidence has not occurred, the next transmitter is identified and the associated data calculated. |
