Rapid hardening of prefabricated concrete mouldings - which are carried via pallet trolleys through hardening tower supplied with steam
Hardening is undertaken in a tower consisting of two parallel vertical chambers(2, 3). Trolleys(5) which each carry a green moulding are pulled, one at a time, by cables along rails and into the base of chamber(2) for exposure to steam for a prescribed time. Summary: | Hardening is undertaken in a tower consisting of two parallel vertical chambers(2, 3). Trolleys(5) which each carry a green moulding are pulled, one at a time, by cables along rails and into the base of chamber(2) for exposure to steam for a prescribed time. The loaded trollyes are then fed upwards stepwise in chamber(2) to form a vertical stack. The highest trolley(5) in chamber(2) is fed through a horizontal tunnel into the top of chamber (3); and the trolleys(5) travel stepwise downwards in chamber(3) towards an outlet leading to a station where the mouldings are extd. from their moulds. Each loaded trolley is pref. heated in ten minutes by sprays of steam to 50-60 degrees C. immediately after entering chamber(2). Used esp. for hardening mouldings in countries with extreme climates, e.g. in the Middle East where high daytime temps. are combined with low humidity of 20-30%. |
