Summary: | The bottle grip head is one of a number extending downwards from a supporting slide. It comprises a housing (12) fixed to the slide so as to move up and down with it and containing jaws (20) hinging between the open and shut positions and securing a bottle when placed round its neck. These are actuated by a plunger sliding axially in the housing. Stops can be provided on the jaws to limit their shutting movement and thus prevent damage to the bottle typically in the form or protrusions (26) on the jaws (28) striking against each other. |
