TDM companding system for voice signals - uses transmit and receive stores and very low signal sampling rate to connect several subscribers to single voice bandwidth channel
The time multiplexing system connects several subscribers to a shared voice channel using a very low sampling frequency and a temporary store at the receive end to fill the gaps caused by the low sampling rate. Only every nth oscillation signal (n = 2, 4, 8) is stored in a transmit store. These osci...

Summary: | The time multiplexing system connects several subscribers to a shared voice channel using a very low sampling frequency and a temporary store at the receive end to fill the gaps caused by the low sampling rate. Only every nth oscillation signal (n = 2, 4, 8) is stored in a transmit store. These oscillation signals are read out compressed in time by a factor n and sent to the receiver where they are written into n receive stores for expanding back to their original spacing. |
