Summary: | The toner fixing stage has a heated roller (1) and a flax wick (32) conducting the toner fluid from a reservoir (12) to the surface of the roller by capillary action. The reservoir (12) has a fixed cover (22) with the wick (32) passing between the top edge (23) of the reservoir (12) and the cover (22) each of which has a projecting lip (40, 41) clamped around a section (15) of the wick (32), with a clamping screw (44) for adjusting the pressure applied to the wick which carries the capillary action. Pref. the wick (32) simultaneously acts as a seal between the cover (22) and the top edge (23) of the reservoir (12). The cover (22) may be held in place by a screw (21) fitting into a post (20) projecting upwards from the base of the reservoir (12). |
