Summary:The open-topped food vessel for e.g. the kitchen can be extracted towards the front of its housing to enable part of the contents to be removed. The front forms a handle and the rear forms a pouring spout. At the rear (17), the vessel (12) is clear of the housing top (22) by a distance greater than the height of a stop (23) extending downwards from the top near the front opening. The vessel rear rests against this stop when it has been almost completely extracted from the housing and tilted downwards. In the bottom (20) of the vessel there can be a transverse groove (25) near the rear, in which the forward edge (24) of the bottom of the housing fits when the vessel is in this tilted position.
