Summary:The shoe lace fastening means comprises a diabolo-shaped clamping element attached on either side of the leather uppers and having a clamping slit which tapers radially from the outside to the inside so that the shoe lace can be readily clamped in. To prevent any slipping of the lace the lace is first looped round another part of the clamping element before being placed in the slot. The clamping members can be made of any suitable material in any colour and in various designs so that the appearance of the shoe is in no way adversely affected. This type of fastening for laces without any tying of knots etc. is especially helpful to children, the infirm etc.
